A Message to Moderate Republicans and Independents

Dear ‘Swing Voters’:

I am betting on you once again. You came through in 2020 in soundly rejecting Donald Trump’s poison and the party which enabled and protected him. You admirably put country over party. And now we need your patriotism again in Tuesday’s midterm elections because the stakes are even higher this time.

I am 100% confident you will not vote to give any Congressional control to the Republican Party which, with the notable exception of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, still pledges sycophantic, dangerous fealty to Trump.

So let’s summarize in real terms what a vote for the GOP represents:

Support for and protection of Trump.

Support for his election-denying Big Lie.

Support for stealing elections.

Support for insurrection & coup attempts.

Support for attacks on voting rights.

Support for violence.

Support for assault weapons and opposition to gun reform.

Support for sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, xenophobia.

Support for attacks on reproductive rights and overturning Roe v Wade.
