Calls For Biden To Quit Will Only Help Elect Trump. Here’s why…

The Democratic establishment is in a state of panic. President Joe Biden’s performance at the debate Thursday night has scared the shit out of them. Biden, who was apparently suffering from a bad cold, spoke in a muted raspy voice, appeared weak and slow, and it perfectly fed the narrative that he’s too old and unfit to serve.

Frantic calls for the President to step aside and let someone else be at the top of the ticket are sweeping the beltway. And those in the media, including the New York Times editorial board, are tripping over themselves in demanding his exit. It’s not only irrational and highly impractical at this late stage in the campaign, it’s shameful.

They’ve all got raging hard-ons for ‘saviors’ like Gavin Newsome or Josh Shapiro (both of whom, by the way, will be great presidential candidates in 2028). But these Newsome/Shapiro fantasizes also come with dissing vice-president Kamala Harris to choose another white man. You think the party has a challenge now with young voters and votors of color? This would be campaign suicide.

The double-standard here is utterly maddening. Biden had an off night and the party, and the media, is demanding he quit. Trump, on the other hand, is a twice-impeached, four-time-indicted convicted-felon, an adjudicated rapist and fraud, and a…
