President Donald J. Chaos

Jeb Bush famously predicted during the presidential campaign that Donald Trump “Is a chaos candidate. And he’d be a chaos president.” Little did ‘Low-Energy Jeb know just how chaotic it’d be.

Bush’s dire warning came during the last debate. I remember watching and thinking, duh! No offense to Bush — because, at least among those in his party, he demonstrated objectivity and impressive prescience in assessing his deplorable rival — but it didn’t take a genius with great psychic powers to see into the future.

We are now living in that future. And it’s not pretty.

Trump thrives on chaos. It’s the air he breathes. The blood that runs through his veins. It turns him on more than porn stars and Playmates.

And one would have to be in a coma (or just be a devout “he-can-shoot-someone-in-the-middle-of-5th-Avenue-and-I’d-still-support-him” Trumpster) to be oblivious to the chaos…

The sex scandals and lawsuits.

The domestic-violence cover up.

The white supremacy madness.

The Melania estrangement.

The policy flip-flopping.

The massive staff turnover.

The multiple investigations.

The abysmal approval ratings.

The rally meltdowns.

The pathological lying.

The 39 special election losses.

The treason.

The…chaos…is…out…of…control. The Trump train is derailing. Its conductor is mentally unhinged….his emotional fabric coming apart at the seams. We are leaderless. America is the Titanic, and the iceberg is so close we can smell it.

Trump can tweet all he wants that there’s no chaos. That everyone’s getting along great and that everything’s just peachy. He can scream THERE WAS NO COLLUSION!!! ABSOLUTELY NO COLLUSION!!! He can revel in his big ‘vindication’ by the House Intelligence Committee. None of it matters. Only the truth matters.

And the truth is that for the first time in history we have a deranged sociopath in the Oval Office. Worse, one who’s being played by Kim Jong Un like a cheap flea market fiddle, and who’s been dangerously co-opted by Russia. An insecure, self-loathing NRA-ass-kissing coward who consistently drops his Commander-in-Chief drawers to let a brutal foreign adversary attack our democracy. Unchallenged.

Jeb was right. Although he’d have been more correct had he said, “Donald Trump is a chaotic Manchurian Candidate…and he’ll be a chaotic Manchurian President.”
