The Republican Party is the Party of Cowards

So the twice-impeached, twice-indicted, found-liable-for-sexual-assault Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump appears on the verge of being indicted yet again, this time for his role in creating, coordinating and executing the January 6, 2021 deadly insurrection.

Last Sunday night he received a target letter from the Department of Justice and special counsel Jack Smith, signaling an almost certain imminent indictment and arrest — one that could even come as early as today (the grand jury met yesterday on the day Trump was invited to appear but elected not to).

“I’m getting indicted for you. They’re coming for you, I’m just in the way,” he duplicitously insisted at his Iowa rally last weekend. And his brainwashed cultists just keep lapping up the bullshit like cranky toddlers with a lollipop.

No doubt, there are many Trumpers who’ve peeled away from Orange Jesus. Abandoned him because the better voices in their heads eventually won the debate and they’ve been able to self-deprogram. But there remain tens of millions of the most fiercely loyal, he-can-grab-my-pussy-anytime, Kool-Aid-drinkin’, one-step-away-from-the-cyanide hopelessly-brainwashed who will die on his hill. Nothing he does, nothing he says or any political or legal trouble he gets into will ever change that.
