Why Israel’s Response Is Justified

It seems people are forgetting that the barbaric Hamas terrorist attack on Israel October 7th ever happened. So let me remind them: 1400 innocent Israelis were slaughtered that day in the worst massacre on Jews since the Holocaust. 4600 were injured and 200+ kidnapped. Civilians…grandmothers…dragged from their homes…beaten, tortured, shot and killed. Young festival attendees hunted down and killed like animals. Women brutally raped. Men, women and children burned alive. Babies shot, burned and beaten to death. Soldiers beheaded. Corpses dragged through the streets…their mutilated bloodied bodies spit on, desecrated and displayed like trophies.

Israel was afforded about 24–48 hours of sympathy and support before the wheels of anti-Semitism began turning again and the hatred returned. Witness the rush to blame Israel for allegedly killing 500 people in a hospital bombing that we now know was an Islamic Jihad misfire from within Gaza.

That’s because the world hates Jews. Always has, always will. Ever since the beginning of time, Jews have been on the receiving end of violent, deadly persecution. The Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, Russian pogroms, and the Holocaust are just a few of the more notable examples. And all of this occurred before the state of Israel was created. Before anger over occupation, “open air prison” and humanitarian crises became part of the geopolitical vernacular. Jews were slaughtered just for being Jews. Period.

And we’re outraged that the former United States president had Jew-hating white supremacists over for dinner at the White House. And we’re aghast that white nationalism is essentially now the platform of one of our two major political parties.

Make no mistake: Israel has been under siege since its inception in 1948…the target of many unprovoked attacks from neighboring countries including Egypt, Syria and Jordan and from terrorist organizations including Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic jihad and the PLO.

It’s a tiny nation the size of new Jersey surrounded by enemies who literally have in their charters the annihilation of the Jewish people and the…
